Tarish

Tarshish is often pronounced as Tarish (source: Lay Liturtical Resources)

That "reference" is a typo, look at the URL.--Error 02:29, 17 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Why no discussion on the theory that it refers to Ancient Briton? Britannia means Source of Tin. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.131.23.208 (talk) 00:15, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

It's extremely dubious whether ancient Phoenician ships ever got to Cornwall (certainly it was not on a regular Phoenician trade route), and pretty definite that Biblical Israelites knew nothing about it. It's also dubious whether there were P-Celts in Cornwall in ca. 850 B.C. Some 19th century authors were extremely fond of the idea of Phoenician ships reaching Cornwall, but modern historians generally consider this to be rather improbable... Error?

Why did this page previously claim that “2 Chronicles 9:21 erroneously situates it on the Red Sea” when 2 Chronicles 9:21 says nothing about the Red Sea? Primal Groudon (talk) 16:37, 13 August 2019 (UTC)
