Logo?

[edit]

Can we get the zoos official logo for the infobox on the page? 203.57.68.13 13:45, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Species

[edit]

The species list is a little out of date. Is it possible to update it? Frickeg 07:06, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You can if you want. That is the point of a wiki, just click on the "edit this page" button on the top of the article, and swing away :). --liquidGhoul 07:07, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Really long list

[edit]

I'm not very knowledgeable about table formatting and such. Can someone do something to make the species list more concise, not necessarily by removing anything, but by tightening up, having several columns, or whatever? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Tredanse (talkcontribs) 07:51, 22 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]

That would be really good! I made the list and I don't know how to do that either. Frickeg 07:17, 17 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Tarongazoologo.gif

[edit]

Image:Tarongazoologo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Acreage listed in zoo info box

[edit]

There is no way Taronga zoo is 287 hectarces, from meory it is about 54 ACRES..! The total amount of land owned by the zoological board of NSW may be the higher amount however it is erroneous to pass this off as the amount owned by Taronga... After a suitable period has passed I will change this unless challenged...

Still a really long list

[edit]

Maybe the list of animals could go on a different page? Eg: List of animals and exhibits at Taronga Zoo Tredanse (talk) 06:27, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

hmmm - can you elaborate? I'm not disagreeing, just in two minds on the suggestion. And others may need convincing. :-) --Merbabu (talk) 06:33, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I certainly need convincing! I don't think that a separate page for exhibits etc. is really necessary. In the long term the current list could be included in prose text or even formatted so that it's smaller. Frickeg (talk) 23:37, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Other animals

[edit]

This should have a section including other animals that are not a part of a majo exhibi like oryxes, rhinos and bisons. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.163.175.174 (talk) 02:51, 2 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Reference #8 - to au.news.yahoo.com - is a dead link. I can't edit it as an anonymous user, and I can't be bothered registering an account. 121.44.154.25 (talk) 21:51, 20 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Done If you "can't be bothered" spending the 5 minutes registering, I suppose it's just as well you don't try to do anything that requires actually doing some work. I have replaced the dead link. I had to remove the detail about the time of the ultrasound (not supported by the references I could find), but I found several refs and used two. Don Lammers (talk) 01:12, 21 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
