Separate article?
[edit]Is there any need for this article? Matrix's exploits are covered in the Supergirl article, and the Linda Danvers article. MetaStar 02:16, 17 April 2006 (UTC)
Listen, this "article" has no purpose, it is only a sentence, and not even a well written one. There is no need to even give it a redirect. MetaStar 00:44, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
I'm going to take on adding some content to it. Matrix existed for years before it merged with Linda Danvers and there's certainly enough to the character to warrent it's own page. It's going to take a few days to do the full workup, so please be patient. CovenantD 01:05, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
I went ahead and did some preliminary work on the article, hope you don't mind CovenantD Coronis 02:03, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
You call that preliminary?!? Wow. I'm impressed. The more the merrier. CovenantD 02:49, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
Well, I may have forgotten some of the details of her storyline, so this was a rough draft. But I really appreciate the compliment! Coronis 03:32, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
Merger
[edit]I advise against the proposed merger of the Matrix and Linda Danvers articles despite the irony that the character of Matrix merged into the dying person of Linda Danvers. The result was a new Linda/Supergirl, a very different being who gained a comic book presence of several years, adding to the former Matrix's even longer history. Supergirl appropriately summarizes the events, whetting the reader's appetite to further explore details of interest. Thus each one's article deserves even further development. - Do Not Merge. I could almost see merging Matrix (comics) with Supergirl, but there's too much information in there, and in here, to warrant such a merge. As it stands, I vote against merging any of the three articles into one another; whether the characters should merge is another story. :) --Joe Sewell 16:13, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
- Do Not Merge Linda Danvers actually seperated from the Matrix, but retained the some of the powers of Matrix, and became her own Supergirl. NeoCoronis 03:28, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
Since so far, no one is for the merge, can we remove the merge tag? NeoCoronis 04:07, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
Superhero info box
[edit]While I can see the reasoning behind "1 character, 1 box", and that in this case it avoids a nasty situation with separating the information in a single box, isn't it a bit of a stretch to give the current Matrix a separate box? At the moment she isn't much more than a minor character. — J Greb 02:45, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
recent edits
[edit]I moved this page because Matrix was best known as "Supergirl" for the most part and barely anyone refered to her as "Matrix" except when she first arrived on Earth and after her spit from Linda Danvers. This also is in line with articles like Robin (Tim Drake), Supergirl (Kara Zor-El), and Superboy (Kon-El).
I also took out the New Matrix's character box. Looking back, she seems very insignificant, whether for her own character box or sharing one. She sort of showed up and died/depowered off panel in Rain of the Supermen. If you disagree, I invite you to create a character stub at Matrix (comics). --EXV // + @ 17:11, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
- and btw, this article needs some references. anyone know a lot about her?--EXV // + @ 17:15, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
- Considering the page has information not only on the Supergirl/Matrix character but also the 52/Matrix, I'd respectfully suggest getting an admin to move it back. The 52 character section isn't long enough to justify its own article and the previous naming serviced both. — J Greb 18:09, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
- I agree with J Greb the page should be moved back to Matrix (comics), and the 52 Matrix box should not have been excised. --69.136.111.100 15:43, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Superman21.jpg
[edit]Image:Superman21.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
