Images
[edit]I think it'd be better to replace SumatranTigerEating.jpg with SumatranTigerToronto.JPG. The latter was previously and erroneously used as a Bengal Tiger picture in the main Tiger article. - Slow Graffiti 21:52, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
population size
[edit]the IUCN link lists the population size at 250 mature individuals. The article says 400-500. Which is right? Matthias5 14:38, 1 ""4 September 2006 (UTC)
"useless" image?
[edit]69.127.225.86 (talk) 21:34, 1 October 2016 (UTC) Just curious what makes an image useless enough that it has to be removed? If there are three images in the article of tigers, and one shows it sitting down, and one shows it standing up, and the other shows it eating dinner, how do you decide which one is "useless"? --Maelwys 17:28, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
- Ok maby "useless" is a worng word, but I think it (Image:SumatranTigerEating.jpg) is not really a good image. it is not sharp, there is a fence in the view and the tiger shows nothing, what is not shown by the tigers in the other two images.--Altaileopard 13:58, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
About Borneo

where is the map
[edit]what map can i use to find the place where the sumatran tiger came from —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.91.35.26 (talk) 22:50, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
the map under the taxobox does show the distribution, but it is impossible to see because the scale is global, but the distribution is limited to a few patches on sumatra. could someone edit it to zoom in on the area?Hectorguinness (talk) 23:49, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
Spelling mistake
[edit]In the section evolution or something there is the word 'boarder'. I'll change it to 'border'Zheliel (I know I am Pro) 23:55, 26 October 2008 (UTC)

More sourcing
[edit]More sources are needed (e.g. tigers preying on wild pig, being overpowered by bears, etc.). I don't like to stick tags all over it. Girlwithgreeneyes (talk) 08:09, 30 March 2012 (UTC)
More information about the population trend
[edit]The article says the population is "441 to 679" and there is a downward trend. But what was the population in 1950? That information will give readers a better understanding of the trend. For example, the population of polar bears in 1950 was about 5,000. Now it is about 20,000. There are still many people who think the polar bear population is trending down. RonCram (talk) 14:22, 2 February 2013 (UTC)
In Characteristics, the article says male Sumatran Tigers "measure 220 to 225 cm (87 to 89 in) in length between the pegs." If "between the pegs" is correct, it needs further explanation; right now it's confusing. Ka'upena Kuahewa (talk) 02:49, 31 March 2013 (UTC)
