I question whether "Struggle for Constantinople" is really anything like a name for these events. It certainly isn't a great descriptor and the cited sources don't really demonstrate anything other than that the exact phrase has been used. Srnec (talk) 20:27, 20 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Srnec I am open to other suggestions. I used struggle for Constantinople because it is a phrase that demonstably has been used (unlike Nicean-Latin wars). I also don't think it makes sense to use Nicean-Latin wars because that particular conflict cannot be untangled from the wider one (that this article now describes) and was not continuous from 1204 to 1261.
