Using iafd.com as a source
[edit]If citing Internet Adult Film Database is acceptable in case of other actors and actresses like Jessie Andrews, Buck Adams, India Summer, Derek Hay, Jon Dough, Marica Hase etc. why is it not allowed here? Anduyafar (talk) 17:17, 12 May 2020 (UTC)
- IAFD is considered the equivalent of IMDB in reliability. IAFD should not be used to establish birth dates in any article. Morbidthoughts (talk) 19:14, 12 May 2020 (UTC)
- Ok, good luck editing all those pages that used iafd. Anduyafar (talk) 10:59, 13 May 2020 (UTC)

Name
[edit]Is her complete name a secret? --Manfariel (talk) 02:31, 30 September 2020 (UTC)
It seems her real name is just not on En.Wiki for some/no reason? https://sh.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stoya gives Džesika Stojadinović (engl. Jessica Stojadinovich) Google search "stoya real name" gives "Jessica Stoyadinovich" ~Anon — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.15.114.11 (talk) 19:35, 28 February 2021 (UTC)
- This issue has been discussed several times in the talk page archive. I will repeat what I wrote in September, 2019:
- Oppose inclusion of her purported birth name, unless she decides to disclose it herself. There are two alleged names floating around. We have no way of knowing whether her legal name in government documents a few years ago is her actual birth name or not. Please see Gerald Ford for a well-referenced example of an early childhood name change. Adoption, divorce and remarriage often lead to childhood name changes, as does simple personal preference. References in this case are primary government documents from her adult years or contradictory. In the first of her two published opinion columns in the New York Times, Stoya wrote "The strangers who call me Jessica at publicity appearances lean in far too close. They hiss it as if they have top-secret information. All they’re doing is letting me know that they had 30 seconds to spend on Google and no sense of propriety . . ." Since she is now writing in Slate under the byline "Jessica Stoya," I added an item about that in the Writings section and created a redirect for that name. She doesn't seem to be using it professionally elsewhere — so I see no justification for changing the title — but having no mention of it in the article (or no redirect) might be confusing to some.
