Inappropriate having a photo of a trashy porn star?
[edit]C'mon, a photo of Ava Rose wearing denim? Isn't this a little inappropriate? There are millions of women wearing denim that could have been put up on here, why put one up of a porn star? MisterZed (talk) 00:20, 5 October 2013 (UTC)
And why is it inappropriate? She's not naked or performing a sex act, is she? I chose this photo because it's a good example of the darker colored sandblasted stonewash denim fashionable in the early 2000s.
standards
[edit]This article discusses a number of topics which are not stone washing, so its name should be updated to denim weathering/distressing/finishing, or some equally inclusive term. The page is further riddled with grammatical errors and uninformative parentheticals, and should be generally cleaned. I suggest division of the content into two categories, and perhaps two separate pages: denim finishing techniques and denim in fashion. Considering the number of dates available, it would be logical to rearrange the techniques section (or page) by the chronological order of each finishing method's invention. Because of its limited relevance, the inventor controversy for pumice tumbling should be removed from the article introduction and transferred to a dedicated section or subsection about the pumice tumbling method. Tangential biochemical information about cellulase should be removed, and a link to the Cellulase article substituted. Multiple unnecessarily specific references to "American Garment Finishers", and contrast with "other finishers", suggest a single author agenda and should either be eliminated or further contextualized by equally specific information about other denim finishing companies. Godspeed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1700:ABA0:1880:78E5:ABD1:DDF8:5373 (talk) 18:57, 18 October 2021 (UTC)
