I don’t speak French myself but I have asked a woman who do. According to her, the word “impossible” is identically spelled in English and French. The mother tongue of Napoléon I was Italian: he did not learn French until school age. (His original name was Napoleone Buonaparte.) However, the sentence might be too ungrammatical for someone who speaks French fluently. There might be other reasons to mistrust the quote such as the source being unreliable. Anyone who happened to know?
