Population?
[edit]Seems like every other article about a prison facility (at least in Pennsylvania) lists the prison's population, but not Greene? I'm having trouble finding the info--does anyone know the population? --MichaelSimonJohnson (talk) 23:05, 12 July 2014 (UTC)
POV Tag
[edit]I'm doing NPOV tag cleanup. Whenever an NPOV tag is placed, it is necessary to also post a message in the discussion section stating clearly why it is thought the article does not comply with POV guidelines, and suggestions for how to improve it. This permits discussion and consensus among editors. This is a drive-by tag, which is discouraged in WP, and it shall be removed. Future tags should have discussion posted as to why the tag was placed, and how the topic might be improved. Better yet, edit the topic yourself with the improvements.Jjdon (talk) 23:15, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

I still don't feel that this article is NPOV. There are countless references to alleged "abuse" in the prison, with no other persepctive offered than that of offenders and their advocates. It's very one-sided, and clearly favors the offender's claims. Additionally, the article uses the offensive term "guard" for Correctional Officers in at least one quote. I just think the whole article could be much more neutral and factual than it currently is. Finally, there is no evidence given that Correctional Officer Graner's allegeded conduct in Iraw was in any way related to his employment at Greene. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.30.199.97 (talk) 19:16, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
Of course the above comment is typical of "correctional officers". I was in Greene myself and saw the things that go on there. Men in the hole for 3, 5 , 20 years. I've seen men put in the hole for nothing. All they do is say someone threatened them and their family. This is the typical lie to send someone to the hole. From there it begins. People starved for a week at a time. People given empty food trays. People taunted behind closed doors. I also saw the many ex military guards there. I think it is a case of what is learned in the military being brought back to Greene and other prisons. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.234.74.150 (talk) 04:26, 18 April 2010 (UTC)
- Both of you: Wikipedia articles are required to be well-sourced and NPOV. Let's work together to make this article better. WhisperToMe (talk) 22:17, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
I just wanted to say that Greene was sued for guards abusing the inmates in 1996. One of the cases was Antonio Noguerol, where they broke his teeth and wrote KKK with his blood. Nothing is said about that, nor anywhere in the internet says about the outcome of the case. Did they settle out of court ?. What happened to the accusations ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.235.219.123 (talk) 21:38, 10 February 2013 (UTC)
