I think that h = C_p T only holds for an ideal gas. A better equation would be: h_t = h + 1/2 v^2. Also, in this formulation, the enthalpy h denotes a `specific' value, consequently, it has units of energy per unit mass, i.e. Joule/kg. If I understand it correctly... Stagnation vs. Total Enthalpy
[edit]According to [1], "the terms stagnation enthalpy and total enthalpy are largely synonymous, although they are two distinct concepts".
If this is true, I think the page could be improved (slightly) by including a small section explaining this.
