Daily Ridership

Unable to find the daily-ridership figure in the linked source, only an annual ridership figure Aaronl19 (talk) 23:08, 27 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Further, there is not a year listed anywhere either

As stated, I just can’t find where the daily ridership figure comes from. Even dividing the annual ridership figure on the source (1.25 Million) by 365 doesn’t give that exact answer either.

All this to say, should the table display annual ridership instead? The most recent source I am able to find of annual ridership comes from https://stalbert.ca/site/assets/files/3971/long_term_dept_plan_approved.pdf, which is ~1.25 million from 2011, though I’d bet that a more recent figure would be present somewhere, I’m just unable to find it Aaronl19 (talk) 23:16, 27 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

After a bit of digging, I have been able to locate a couple more ridership figures.

StATracker Transit has ridership figures up to 2019, though as is present in the data, ridership is greatly affected by when University semesters are in session. Further, the graph is mentions it tracks “commuter ridership”. I am unclear if they are using “commuter” as for “people riding busses”, or “commuter” for “commuter bus routes”

The article, Monthly transit ridership surpasses pre-pandemic levels: city, by the St. Albert Gazette claims a figure of 495,000 riders in the first-half of 2023. I am however, unclear of where that figure comes from

The Edmonton Metropolitan Region Board Transit Statistics claims that St. Albert, pre pandemic (2019), had 15.44 riders per capita over that span of 2019. The source for the information they claim is officially from the City of St. Albert

The best source I’ve found is from StATracker Cultivate Sustainable Infrastructure & Services, where there is a direct annual ridership figure of 1.1 Million in 2018. A 2009 figure was also found, and it matches with other sources found, giving me reasonable confidence that the collection methods are the same Aaronl19 (talk) 19:50, 4 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
