"Shot"

Also... sorry, but can the following phrase be changed? "In June, he shot 7,000 naked people in Barcelona" To someone who is only part way through learning the English language, as some of my students are, this sounds as though Spencer Tunick has shot and killed 7000 naked people. I know that's not what is meant here. However, the word "shot" often means something related to a gun. The slang use of the term, to indicate "photographed" is not as frequently taught.
