Will there ever be another series of space precinct and does anyone know? MT

Unlikely. It was an expensive flop and it's been 10 years. Anderson is doing a remake of Captain Scarlet but he's more likely to remake UFO or Space:1999 before doing another Space Precinct. 23skidoo 8 July 2005 21:28 (UTC)

Jane Castle was the only other human on the Demeter City force? (other than the two main stars). Not so, whilst they may not have speaking parts there are a number of uniformed human police extras certainly in the first few episodes.Greenpeas 12:57, 25 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Checking "Enforcer" on DVD, Podley is clearly accompanied by a male human officer when he meets the alien ship in the police station hangar. Together with other sightings of extras, I feel it safe to remove the reference to Castle being the only other human cop. The only speaking regular clearly, but there are others about! Hope no-one minds!Greenpeas 12:24, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[In case the above causes confusion: it was only in the 1986 pilot that Castle was the only other human on the force, not the subsequent 1994–5 main series. This now seems to have been clarified in the article text. {The poster formerly known as 87.81.230.195 90.197.27.112 (talk) 18:29, 16 August 2021 (UTC)][reply]
Forget the extras: there are other human police officers with speaking parts, in particular Officer Carson, slomo's mechanic/brain wave machine operator/guy in charge of technical stuff on base. I would put in more about the main cast, but I'm not sure who counts and it could easily turn into fancruft. There are several alien officers who I consider central characters but who don't show up much in the credit sequence. The general makeup of the police force and Demeter City both appears to be about 1/3+ Creon (the brown, wrinkly ones like the chief), 1/3 Tarn (the green ones with the psychic third eye like Officer Took), and the rest human with a smattering of dozens of other races (including plenty of Star Trek style forehead aliens). I just discovered this is being run on the SYFY channel right now (Nov 2010) , and had never heard of it. I was surprised by the number of characters with American accents.... suspiciously so. Seems like a heck of a lot of people have their voices dubbed. A pizza delivery guy, some girl with green hair... both of them looked like their voices didn't match. Anyone know if this is just the way it was on the original release, or have some of the heavier UK accepts been dubbed over for North American audiences perhaps? 99.69.59.116 (talk) 16:49, 29 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Space Police date

[edit]

The article gives the date for the Space Police pilot as 1986, but then in the episodes section as 1983. Does anyone have a source which would show which is correct? Dunarc (talk) 20:23, 10 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Tie-in novels

[edit]

Surprised to see no mention of the three tie-in novels written by David Bischoff, further details of which can be found in the ISFDB via Bischoff's main page here. (I know the ISFDB is user generated and thus not a Reliable source, but FWIW all the details given of the Voyager editions of the books, which I have, appear to be correct.) {The poster formerly known as 87.81.230.195} 90.197.27.112 (talk) 18:24, 16 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
