Messaging
[edit]The common image of smoke signals, in particular as used by North American indians, includes a kind of "modulation" where the message is conveyed by creating puffs of smoke (as everybody knows). This isn't even mentioned in the article, lest it's hidden in the "signaling system"-phrase. Hexmaster (talk) 15:41, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
