This page's German equivalent looks, interestingly, as though it did once exist, but has now been entirely merged with translatologie thus: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Translatologie#Skopostheorie
A redirect (https://de.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Skopostheorie&redirect=no) does quickly enable the reader to overcome their initial disorientation and find their bearings again. But this presumed merge of two separate pages on the de.wikipedia impoverishes the representation of languages on this page's "Languages" panel, cf https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Translatologie. Ach, it's a minor point I guess, but maybe worth considering trying to expand the languages panel on this page? How would that work? In the German equivalent there is an example; it could be usefull to translate it! --ApollineMAT (talk) 10:21, 9 December 2016 (UTC)ApollineMAT
It would help to tell us what skopos is
[edit]The article tells us about "Skopos theory" and that, tertiarily, "the TT is determined by its skopos" without ever telling us what skopos is. Largoplazo (talk) 02:40, 10 August 2018 (UTC)
