The article contains two sections with a claim that Beqiri has Albanian nationality. This requires citations and the tags may not be removed until this statement has been proven. It is known that the individual originates from Kosovo and represents Switzerland professionally but the context in which Albania is being presented is such that it does not reflect ethnicity. The flag of Albania appears alongside Switzerland as though the subject has Albanian citizenship despite there being no entry as to what his relationship to that particular state is. If the editor merely wishes to divulge that the person is ethnically Albanian then this needs to be reflected accordingly, at the moment it says that he is an Albanian subject. Adding "Albania" was clearly vandalism, but the article is starved for references as it is.
The source for the statement that Beqiri was born in Vitina, Kosovo in 1986 is apparently a fan page on facebook[1]. Clearly, this will not do. Especially as the facebook page cites Wikipedia as its source.
If he came to Switzerland in 1991, it would follow that he could have been naturalized as Swiss citizen from about 2000 (at age 14, apparently the "double-speed" naturalization for juveniles has been in effect since 1994[2]).
He could also be a citizen of the Republic of Serbia, or he could be a citizen of the Republic of Kosovo, which has issued passports since 2009. Obviously, any statement to any effect will need a reference. --dab(𒁳)12:44, 2 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
