Notability
[edit]Hi CommanderWaterford, you placed the "notability" tag on this article earlier today. As you may have seen in the references section, the band has received significant coverage by prestigious music magazines and online databases, such as AllMusic, DJ Mag, and Resident Advisor, among others. There are also other sources I didn't include, since most of the content was covered by those I used. Should I include them as well? Thanks, --Λeternus (talk) 18:29, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
- Those Databases are usually accepting paid promo biographies so they can not be defined as 100% reliable, currently I do only see one source which covers independently and with significant coverage - which is not enough IMHO. Without the sources currently presented I would have nominated them for deletion so right now I tagged it "only" for notability. CommanderWaterford (talk) 18:34, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks for your prompt reply, CommanderWaterford. Can you please let me know which sources do you suspect of accepting paid promo biographies, so I can take a closer look? Also, can you please let me know which sources you don't think provide significant coverage of the subject? According to WP:GNG, "'Significant coverage' addresses the topic directly and in detail, so that no original research is needed to extract the content. Significant coverage is more than a trivial mention, but it does not need to be the main topic of the source material." All sources listed on the article appear to address the topic directly and in detail, especially DJ Mag and MusicTech. Is there something I'm missing? --Λeternus (talk) 18:45, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
