Not right
[edit]this article is incorrect. What it is talking about is rightly called "stacking" the seismic data. Stacking is when you take the average of the amplitudes after applying normal moveout (the hyperbolas that are calculated from the root-mean-square velocity). Semblance is different. Semblance calculates the amplitude similarity of each sample after applying normal moveout. This is usually determined dividing the square of the sum by the sum of the squares.
