I have included some additional background material but any teacher in the UK knows that Performance Management and Performance Related Pay (Threshold payments) are an issue. Activists in the NUT have re-launched STOPP in advance of the government's regulations on Performance Management which come into force in October 2007. There will be STOPP motions on the agenda at this year's National Union of Teachers conference. Members in NASUWT and ATL are also concerned about this issue and eligible to join STOPP.
