Clarification

  • In 2002, Waterston and fellow Law & Order castmate Jerry Orbach were honored as "Living Landmarks" by the New York Landmarks Conservancy. This means that Sam Waterston is no longer at risk for being demolished to make way for a new CVS.

Do they mean their homes? I dont get the "Sam Waterston is no longer at risk for being demolished to make way for a new CVS" part. Couldn't Sam just step outta the way? :P Someone help me out here.

... and who cares where he stands on firearms? Thats his business, not ours.

It was a joke. Cute, but this isn't really the place (unless a public figure originally made the joke, in which case it should be presented as a quote.) If you want semi-humorous articles, check out h2g2. I deleted the line.

Visionary Institute

Is there any reason that Sam's involvement with the Visionary Institute is not included under his notable humanitarian work?

If anybody cares to take a look.

Lives with...

"He currently resides in Connecticut with his wife, Lynn, and four children, Elisabeth, Katherine, Graham, and James." If Elisabeth is married, statement could be wrong (I suspect it is wrong regarding at least 3 of the 4). Correction? elpincha 05:52, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

Picture

The current picture of Mr. Waterson is terrible. I'd recommend we remove that one until we find a better one. 69.182.168.120 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.182.168.120 (talk) 06:07, August 30, 2007 (UTC)

Not so bad, but here's a better free one (needs cropping): http://www.flickr.com/photos/shakespearetheatrecompany/1543174874/sizes/o/ --Elvey (talk) 17:26, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

Sibling

Sam Waterson's younger sister, Ellen, is a distinguished author and poet. She writes using her maiden name, Ellen Waterson. Ellen resides in Bend, Oregon.

Do you have a reliable source (or several) for this? If so, feel free to add it to the "personal life" section.--JayJasper (talk) 18:46, 26 April 2010 (UTC)

Here is a link about Ellen Waterston :

First Marriage

Infobox: Spouse Barbara Rutledge (1964–1969)

Text of the article: Personal life: "Waterston was married to his first wife, Barbara Rutledge-Johns Waterston, from 1964 to 1975."

Which is correct? 108.246.205.134 (talk) 05:31, 31 August 2012 (UTC)

I noticed this too, and I'm trying to dig up some sources so we can verify which dates are correct. Safehaven86 (talk) 04:36, 8 October 2012 (UTC)
