[edit]I've checked the sources added with this edit added by User:Jobas, and they do not support the addition of a "Persecution by atheist" category (and, in fact, say nothing of atheists persecuting anyone). Does a source exist to justify the inclusion of the cat? Xenophrenic (talk) 12:06, 16 June 2016 (UTC)
- I added source as you aked, The priests were executed for carrying out their ministry despite the suppression under the anti-clerical laws and essentially irreligious of Plutarco Elías Calles.--Jobas (talk) 12:09, 16 June 2016 (UTC)
- Your sources do not support that category. Which specific sentence(s) in your Cambridge source, for example, do you say supports the category? Also, it appears that you are confusing "irreligion" with atheism. If you'd like to add a category for "Anti-clerical persecution", I would have no objection. But you have not provided the required sources for "Persecution by atheists" cat. Regards, Xenophrenic (talk) 19:33, 16 June 2016 (UTC)

Bias?
[edit]Is it just me or I am very skeptical of narratives form the church during revolutions?
Most of the anticlerical measures were directed to the church for explicitly political reasons because of the reactionary politics within the institution, not because of their religious beliefs. 154.47.109.236 (talk) 21:12, 8 April 2022 (UTC)
