This article is not just "having self-published material". It looks like written by the subject(Roy Beck) and his organization numbersusa's supporters. (1) It took part of SPLC's web page out of context to mislead the reader; (2) All the links and references are by Roy Beck himself, except one link to a SPLC's web page - supposed to be about Roy Beck, where the citation could be found - instead it links to a page looking similar but really having nothing to do with Roy Beck. It is hard to imagine such a link is not intentional. If searching "Roy Beck" on SPLC's web page, you can find the real mention of Roy Beck. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 209.91.4.238 (talk • contribs).
The proposition that Beck uses a "sales pitch" is not a valid criticism of an activist/lobbyist. Of course he uses a sales pitch, he's selling his ideas. In the spirit of fairness and inclusiveness, I have added a link to an SPLC article which describes (from their perspective) how he and his group fit into the larger scope of the anti-immigration movement. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wikitopian (talk • contribs) 12:50, 30 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The response by David Henderson (an economist at Stanford University's Hoover Institution and the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California) to the gumballs video belongs in this article. Snooganssnoogans (talk) 00:43, 8 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
