On 8 May 2006 I have revert this article to the version of 27 December 2005. This was to remove text that appears to be a copyright violation of this site. I have left a note on User_talk:64.61.130.151 asking if he has permission to use the text. --MarkS 20:00, 8 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Disambig?

[edit]

There are two Roman Catholic Dioceses called the "Roman Catholic Diocese of Lafayette", one in Louisiana, and the other in Indiana. This one refers to the one in Louisiana.

I propose that we move this article to Roman Catholic Diocese of Lafayette in Louisiana and make the page at Roman Catholic Diocese of Lafayette into a disambig, allowing people to choose between the one in Indiana and the one in Louisiana. Sleckronmich (talk) 07:23, 25 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Former schools

[edit]

https://www.fox8live.com/2019/05/08/cost-choice-louisianas-voucher-program-costs-millions-more-send-children-lower-performing-schools/ says a school in Lafayette closed in 2016: Immaculate Heart of Mary. If/when there's a listing of K-8 schools in this diocese I would like to add it. WhisperToMe (talk) 06:22, 29 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Gilbert Gauthe

[edit]

The section on Gilbert Gauthe is the longest one in the entire article about a large and relatively old diocese. I recommend moving the very detailed account of his court case to the Gilbert Gauthe article. -- Melchior2006 (talk) 12:57, 19 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I moved the details. -- Melchior2006 (talk) 13:02, 21 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
