Several other articles refer to a "Riyadh the facilitator" -- another Guantanamo captive, one who spent two years in CIA custody... Geo Swan (talk) 07:51, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
- The fact that two Wikipedia articles refer to something doesn't make it notable, but I'll pick this up after the merge discussion is resolved.Prezbo (talk) 23:29, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
Merge template
[edit]I would like to ask the contributor who has added the merge template to the article here: What makes you think that the single reference in this article here concerns the individual Al Hajj Abdu Ali Sharqawi? Thank you. IQinn (talk) 08:11, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
- The public record shows that Sharqawi was alleged to also to have been known as "Riyadh the facilitator", who managed a suspicious guest house in Karachi. Mohammed Nasir Yahya Khusruf faced the allegation that he stayed in the Karachi guest house managed by "Riad (al-Qaeda host)". I suggest that "Riad" and "Riyadh" are two different transliterations of the same alias. Geo Swan (talk) 09:29, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
- Could you just clarify what you mean by the "public record". Any other source than the OARDEC source for the allegation that Al Hajj Abdu Ali Sharqawi was running the guest house under the name "Riyadh"? OARDEC is the same source as in this article and their information is based on unreliable classified intelligence assertions. It sounds likely but how can we be sure it was the same guest house? In any case we should attribute this to the source.IQinn (talk) 09:50, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
I have removed the merge templates from the respective articles, as no consensus has emerged for merging. Harej (talk) 04:47, 5 January 2015 (UTC)
