The name of this noblewoman was Ricciarda Malaspina; her family name was Malaspina. She married Lorenzo Cybo, but, as far as I know, she did not ordinarily substitute her husband's surname for her own, nor did she add it after her own (Malaspina Cybo). Although his predeceased son often signed himself Giulio Cibo Malaspina,, this double surname came into legal use only after her death, when, by her will, her legitimate heirs were obliged to add her family name to their father's.
I consequently suggest that the title of the article be moved again from 'Ricciarda Cybo-Malaspina' to 'Ricciarda Malaspina'.
The article in the authoritative Dizionario Biografico degli Italiani is correctly titled "Malaspina, Ricciarda" Jeanambr (talk) 16:08, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
