CIA world factbook or Afrobarometer
[edit]The CIA world factbook (2020 est.) should be replaced by the Afrobarometer (2022) in the pie chart and the CIA world factbook can be deleted from this page.
1) It is more recent.
2) It is an actual poll. The CIA world factbook doesn't mention its source (a red flag in itself) and bases its numbers probably on the projection of Pew Research Center of the 2010 numbers of the Pew Research center for the year 2020.
3) I have added the projection of the Pew numbers to the article now, sourced to Pew (where they explain how they get the numbers). Rolluik (talk) 23:56, 14 December 2024 (UTC)
- I will prefer CIA and Pew figures over afrobarometer any day even if they are a little outdated.2401:BA80:AA11:8A1C:D099:420C:D6ED:4EC5 (talk) 05:39, 16 December 2024 (UTC)
- Due to unavailability of official census data on religion it's better to go with the CIA data. Afrobarometer doesn't seem reliable. Regards2401:BA80:A186:AD9E:CCB4:92D5:7DE6:3FF0 (talk) 05:45, 17 December 2024 (UTC)
- I prefer Afrobarometer. It is more recent and CIA is always secundary research, since they do not do surveys by their own.Nillurcheier (talk) 10:32, 17 December 2024 (UTC)
- What about the Afrobarometer data doesn't seem reliable? Cordless Larry (talk) 20:00, 17 December 2024 (UTC)
- CIA figure is preferable 182.190.46.163 (talk) 14:14, 18 December 2024 (UTC)
- Would you care to offer a reason? Cordless Larry (talk) 14:46, 18 December 2024 (UTC)
