This page is not unambiguously promotional, because... (Ravikumar is a prominent Dalit intellectual who has done pioneering work in the field of Tamil literature and Tamil Dalit politics. He has started an internationally acclaimed publishing house - Navayana - has organized conferences on untouchability (1979), stared influential people's movement for universal education and most significantly started the influential Marxist/Subaltern journal Nirapirikai. So the notice for deletion may please be removed from this page.) --Mohanbhan (talk) 12:57, 14 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Ravikumar is a writer/intellectual turned politician/social worker, so the stub D. Ravikumar which concentrates solely on his political life should be merged into this more expansive article. After the merge Ravikumar (writer) may be re-titled by moving the page to to D. Ravikumar. -Mohanbhan (talk) 05:48, 26 August 2015 (UTC)
The two entries should be merged as they refer to the same person. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.76.221.217 (talk) 18:24, 13 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
