I kind of wish that the merge had gone in the other direction: that other article was better than this one; it just had those icky proofs that needed to be removed. There is also the issue of Bremermann's limit, which could arguably be merged into this article, as its effectively the same limit derived by the same authors in the same papers. Or, at least, this article should add a section and point to that one as the "main". Since that article is more about limits of computation, aimed at the quantum comp sci crowd, maybe it can be left unmerged. Beats me. Welcome. I've now done all the remaining bits & pieces. Perhaps merging Bremermann's limit is not a good idea: (1) the original Mandelstam limit is from 1944 and predates current obsessions w/computing, and (2) concerns about computing and computability are perhaps best left for a distinct audience. There's cross-over, certainly, but I've noticed the computing people tend to ride rough-shod over finer points. 67.198.37.16 (talk) 19:13, 11 April 2024 (UTC)
