[edit]Many examples, pls. check "dubious" & "clarify" tags.
Here a passage I removed altogether:
- The largest group of historians believe that the castle dates back to the Ottoman period. The Jordanian Department of Antiquities followed suit, cooperating with the Turkish government to do the necessary restoration. The former maintains that the building is from the Mamluk period, and referred to as Khan Qatraneh.[citation needed]
Unsourced, too. So the DoA believed the largest group of historians, who say the Turks built it, and as a consequence accepted help from Turkey. But the DoA maintains that it was built by Mamluks. I see. Or I don't. Cheat?
Referring to the fort as Khan Qatraneh is saying it is Mamluk? How does that work? If Turkish, how would it be called?
Far too many riddles & far too much nonsense. Arminden (talk) 00:05, 30 March 2024 (UTC)
