im not positive, but i think a protoboard can consist of a breadboard, but doesn't have to be solderless. I know of it to refer to an area on an existing system to experiment with it on. Nfolken 08:18, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've heard it used to refer to a soldered prototype, but I am not sure if that's its actual meaning or not. The way the article is now, it's the same as breadboard.Sarten-X 03:18, 16 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Im an electronic engineer, i've been working with this for over 20 years, an i can tell you, Protoboards and Breadbords are exactly the same thing, there are synonyms like water and h2o...
