I believe that in English this is Promptov sign or Promptov syndrome. It would appear to be a Russian/Ukrainian/... area explanation of a symptom. See Promp-tov at http://bigmed.info/index.php/ACUTE_ABDOMEN — billinghurst sDrewth 08:12, 14 April 2017 (UTC)
- The Big Medical Encylopedia doesn't look like a reliable medical resource per WP:MEDRS. I have taken the suggestion to search further under "Promptov" (using Google), and looked at some reviews available via PubMed related to pelvic inflammatory disease, but still can't find any mention of the "sign". I don't have the linguistic skills to search in Russian for a reliable medical source about Promtov/Promptov's sign/syndrome - any suggestions? (I came accross Carnett's sign, but that is not the same as it does not require an internal examination to elicit it). DferDaisy (talk) 23:00, 15 April 2017 (UTC)
Hi! I think we both agree that this "Promptov symptom" or Promtov sign" (sign as synonym for symptom) exists in world, its just hard to find any reliable resources from internet in english. This is probably because its maybe old/historic and not used anymore. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Medivend (talk • contribs) 06:00, 16 April 2017 (UTC)
