"Unique for its time"

I dispute that term in the introduction; there were several other interactive novels with graphics available around then, and many of which came out before. for example, the Telarium adaptations of Rendezvous with Rama and Fahrenheit 451 came out in 1984 and 1985, respectively. 50.135.253.148 (talk) 23:06, 2 November 2013 (UTC)

Comic book

What is the basis for the comment about the upcoming comic book? I couldn't find anything obvious with Google. Xihr 08:59, 1 November 2005 (UTC)

I was not the one who put the entry in about the comic book, however, I have had correspondence with the author as recently as February 2006, and he did confirm that this project is still at least somewhat in progress. I imagine "my saying so" isn't enough- how do I go about authenticating this? Fletcherism April 10 2006

I'm sorry, I meant I've had correspondence with the original author, Rob Swigart. He hasn't mentioned the name of the creator of the comic book version, and I'd feel uncomfortable asking him that. I think he did tell me the guy is in Canada.

Proposed merger

I don't have a huge problem with merging them, as long as it's emphasized that:

1. The game is not just a Commodore 64 game; ports to the Macintosh and IBM PC were made.
2. It also became a novel which was published and, I believe, republished. There is also apparently a comic book in the works. So it's not just a game.

As long as the expanded item basically merged all the information from both articles, I wouldn't have a problem with it. Xihr 23:40, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

Makes sense to me. It seems that the two articles complement each other nicely. The game article covers some of the gameplay aspects, and this article covers the novelization and plot more completely. The game article was definately written with a C-64 bias, but it would simply take some fiddling with the info-box to include the other ports, and similarly adding expanding the information about the novels would do the trick. I'm not particularly well-informed on either the game or novel, so I feel unqualified to edit either article any further.--Woden325 23:50, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

The game and the novel contain exactly the same content. The "game" is just a way of interactively showing this content. In fact it's really not much of a game; you just go back and forth between different content areas to see what's new, and in that process open up more content in other areas.
