No proof the story is true

There is no proof the story is true. I do not think we should put people for whom we have no proof in categories that are meant for real people and real events.John Pack Lambert (talk) 20:02, 21 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

That's a slippery slope. Do you propose also excluding biblical figures from these categories? Some sources treat the Bartlett story as factual, so I don't see what objective criteria we could use to determine which biographical subjects are "real people". This is exactly why we have Category:People whose existence is disputed. pburka (talk) 23:12, 21 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
