Launch date

Is it just the console versions that comes out on August 13th? 1 If so shouldn't it be included as part of the release date? 66.87.111.122 (talk) 01:11, 3 August 2013 (UTC)

Chaos! I cited this article this morning that said everything was being released on the 27th (here's a cheap mirror of it), but it's since been updated to say that the console launches are on the 13th. We could use a more reliable source. --McGeddon (talk) 16:39, 5 August 2013 (UTC)
Hi, I edited the release date to match the source (13th for consoles, 27th for PC) but I just found a forum post by the CEO of Overkill/Starbreeze Bo Andersson saying that there is no confirmed date yet and both PC and consoles will have the same date. Here is the link: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showpost.php?p=34765887&postcount=39. It appears that gaming news are not really reliable for now and we should wait an official announcement from Overkill Software before putting an exact date. I will change the article to only say August 2013 as a date for now. 24.212.31.222 (talk) 17:04, 5 August 2013 (UTC)

Steam has updated their payday 2 page. So it is official that on the 13th Payday 2 will be out on Steam.

Requests for page protection

Due to all of the vandalism over the past week. I have requested for the page to be protected. The mods will see if it will be a perm or temp. Cky2250 (talk) 22:30, 14 August 2013 (UTC)

Edit request on 12 September 2013

On September 12 2013 Starbreeze and Overkill announced that sales of Payday 2 hit 1,58 million copies in the first month after the release. Source: http://www.aktietorget.se/NewsItem.aspx?ID_News=66728&Language=2

Cleanup

I've done some work to the page, it is still super sparse. Perhaps a section about the DLC? Zendu (talk) 03:53, 30 January 2014 (UTC)

Characters and Plot sections

I'm sitting here mulling over this idea. Is it worth including these or? Zero Serenity (talk - contributions) 18:01, 14 August 2014 (UTC)

If you do, for the record, episodes 2 and 6 of the webseries are the source for new Hox being Dallas' younger brother. --Lenin and McCarthy | (Complain here) 20:26, 14 August 2014 (UTC)

Out of Date

new features, characters and a new class were added during the month of October, 2014. the present article does not reflect those additions. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.218.165.56 (talk) 08:15, 10 November 2014 (UTC)

Need some opinions here

Hi! RbR here, new editor, long time user. I took a look on one of my favorite games here on wikipedia and I was surprised to see how good the article for Payday2 is. That said, I had a suggestion I wanted feedback (mostly because I am afraid to make the edits, for one, but also doing it without getting an opinion first. ) For the characters section, would it be appropriate to rebrand that as sort of a list, rather than it's current form? IE: Bonnie, the latest character added, was released on x, along with a new mask, and two signature weapons x, ect ect. I like this article as it stands, but I'd love to see it get even better! Microtransaction Backlash

This is less a coherent thought and more of a collection of articles, sources and things to include as I go.

Source paraphrase

A question on this paraphrase: "In response, Steam community moderators for Payday started a protest against this treatment of fans and abuse by fans by refusing to moderate the community until granted an interview with Almir Listo, producer of the game". The Eurogamer article supports the moderator's resignation, but does not give any indication as to their demands. However, the Gamespot article supports both of these statements, but does not specifically mention Almir Listo (quote: "The Steam moderation team for Payday 2 has stated it will no longer work unless it can hold an interview with the development team"). Perhaps this can be reworded? 2602:306:3BBE:2E60:4938:5BFA:543:3665 (talk) 04:17, 20 November 2015 (UTC)
Well this might be some of my foreknowledge getting ahead of me. Almir was the guy who gave the interview in the first place which happened that week. Zero Serenity (talk - contributions) 21:12, 30 November 2015 (UTC)
