Sources and Trembleway

tHIS TOpic is actually written about in newspapers etcetera, so it's probably verifiable if we can get archives from '99. I don't really care actually, so nevermind.

Our sources never seem to verify the Frankie Bones story. If we can't find good sources for that there would be nothing wrong with revising the article to say that the specific origin of PLUR (much like that of the Raver's Manifesto - does it deserve its own article? I get 234 hits for "raver's manifesto baby" and 557 hits for "look at me now manifesto" on clusty) is unknown. Also, I don't think this article should be offering special definitions for "peace" "love" "unity" "respect" when there is no clear "raver/PLUR definition" of those terms out there. Let's just link to the words themselves and leave it at that. Heqs 01:18, 1 April 2006 (UTC)

Origins

i put the origins section back in, because it was a key part of the article. that newsgroup discussion was created in 1996, only 5 years after Frankie Bones brought the scene to NYC. It is highly likely to be correct. In any case, it is documented first person testimonial, great evidence.

The term "plur" was definitely used in the early 90's by ravers to describe their outlook on the scene. I don't agree that it is a more recent coinage, as we have passed this specific acronym/belief around for 15+ years. PLUR

I'm relatively sure endorsed rape and molestation aren't a part of PLUR, I've never seen those two attributed to the acronym outside of this page, and it seems a bit of a strange thing to consciously endorse. PLURR

I dont normally edit wiki pages so somebody else should address this problem. It's supposed to be PLURR. Thats what it always used to be then the last R faded off over the years. It stands for: Peace, Love, Unity, Respect, and Responsibility.
Responsibility is one of the most important things! Especially in the rave scene in the mid-late 90's where lots of drugs were involved. Without Responsibility we would have a lot more dead ravers... :( — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.176.171.159 (talk) 05:29, 11 July 2011 (UTC)

Untruths

No one has immolated themselves in Time Square from what I could find. Who ever wrote that disgusts me. Immolating is a very serious thing for someone to perform. The reference is actually to a shooting that happened during a cool down from a rave.69.196.166.97 (talk) 04:58, 6 November 2011 (UTC)

plur and pronoia

How are plur and pronia the same? They are not. PLUR is about how you are suppose to treat someone at a rave, pronia is a delusional a way of thinking the world conspires to help you and shower you with blessings. These definitions are completely different and thus are not synonyms. Please remove the topic from related ideas as it is incorrect. Ubuntu is correct, instead of pronoia there should be a link about virtues as plur is about being a virtuous person inside a rave and out in society and in ones everyday life. Kandi bracelet ritual

"Most PLURR oriented raver-goers are also known as Kandi Kids within the rave community. Within this Kandi culture, there can be a symbolic handshake that rave-goers exchange with one another. Typically when a Kandi bracelet has been traded, it can not be traded with another rave-goer out of respect towards the person who made the bracelet.
