Merge?
[edit]Hi all. I think this article should be merged with Spitz barge, under the name Péniche since the type is defined by the measurements of French waterways. Regards, Sander1453 (talk) 10:30, 4 July 2015 (UTC)
- Question - the article states that it is similar to a Thames barge, but that is a type of sailing ship, isn't it? Mjroots (talk) 14:59, 6 October 2015 (UTC)
- Indeed. Perhaps the hulls show some similarity, I don't know. Sander1453 (talk) 16:09, 6 October 2015 (UTC)
- I agree - and the combined article could undoubtedly be developed, partly from the French WP article [1]. Davidships (talk) 22:35, 6 October 2015 (UTC)
- Done. Sander1453 (talk) 04:28, 7 October 2015 (UTC)
- I'll expand with the Dutch article one of these days, after I've got things sorted out at Wikidata. Sander1453 (talk) 04:51, 7 October 2015 (UTC)
- Expanded a bit with other sources. I hope someone can have a look at stern types, sheer and other construction details. Or anything else, really. Sander1453 (talk) 08:23, 7 October 2015 (UTC)
