Ryan Girdusky

[edit]

Ryan Girdusky redirects here, but is not explained in the article. Should he be mentioned, or should the redirect be deleted? I was checking to see if there was coverage in Wikipedia of his banning from CNN. -- Beland (talk) 00:50, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I too was redirected to this article after searching on "Ryan Girdusky", to find no mention of him at all on the page. I second the request to delete the redirect. 2602:306:C4CE:91A9:397A:B764:372:1D33 (talk) 00:59, 13 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The redirect has been deleted. -- Beland (talk) 03:01, 26 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Far-right

[edit]

The channel is not far-right. It is conservative. 68.162.214.184 (talk) 23:53, 15 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This is well supported. Our opinions don't matter. See the FAQ at the top of this page. O3000, Ret. (talk) 01:17, 16 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The fact that it is called "far right," which is a collective option of only the far left, should be a matter of concern. This is an opinion, and an inaccurate one. The channel is right of center, but the far left doesn't understand that. 2601:6C1:503:2F00:65AF:C4FC:7E27:2D14 (talk) 05:05, 7 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Per the FAQ at the top of the page, "the 'far-right' descriptor is amply and reliably sourced. A prior request for comment resulted in unambiguous consensus to support the 'far-right' descriptor based on reliable, independent secondary sources." See also the article "DirecTV to drop far-right channel OAN from its service" (citation #1), which OANN published on its own website. — Newslinger talk 06:39, 7 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Please change the following:

In December 2024, following disgraced former Congressman Matt Gaetz's withdrawal from his nomination to United States Attorney General by Donald Trump due to allegations of sexual assault, it was announced that Gaetz would be joining OAN to host a new show every weekday starting in January 2025.[66]
