Revert

[edit]

I went ahead and reverted this page to the pre-variants section. The variants do not seem related at all, and seem more gore-y than is necessary and really aren't related, except for the tune (which, as I recall, this tune is actually originated from On Top of Old Smokey, so this isn't the logical place for them anyway). As such, those edits looked more like vandalism than anything else. P3net 03:20, 14 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Lyrics

[edit]

I have removed the lyrics as per WP:COPYVIO. I have no indication that the lyrics are public domain, and seeing as how the song was published in 1963, I suspect that the lyrics are not public domain. Dissolve 16:15, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright 1961 added from Rise Up Singing, (Songs Music Inc.), rated for songs, add a bit. Pustelnik (talk) 19:18, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Credits

[edit]

The infobox says "Lyricist(s): Sharon Ruth, Philip Anders", but of those only Sharon Ruth is listed in the article itself. The article does mention that Tom Glazer is given lyricist credit on his rendition, implying but not establishing that he claimed lyricist credits, so should he also be listed as possible (but questionable) lyricist in the infobox?
