Converted to a tramway?
[edit]The following reference is from the Russian language article on the Omsk Metro:

It seems to imply that the Omsk Metro is be converted in to a tramway (or, at least, integrated into Omsk's existing tram system). It would be good if our Russian-language editors could confirm if this is the case, and if so if they can figure out a way to integrate this information into the existing article. Thanks... --IJBall (talk) 06:02, 23 July 2014 (UTC)
- Based on that article alone, it seems that they are not planning to expand the underground metro system any further and all future development will be for the tramway lines only (with which the existing metro system will be connected). There are no intentions to convert the existing metro part into a tramway. Since these are only vague plans at this point, we should probably wait before making radical changes to our articles (although, of course, mentioning this is a good idea). Does this help?—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); July 23, 2014; 11:53 (UTC)
- OK, thanks for that - yes, that does help. I agree – if that's the gist of the reference, the article should mostly stay as is, at least until it is finished and open for service, and plans like these are implemented. --IJBall (talk) 16:47, 23 July 2014 (UTC)
