Addition of Race section
Hello all. I believe the Occupational Segregation page on Wikipedia needs an addition of racial segregation in the workplace, as currently, it only discusses the gender aspect and it's important to present a more holistic view. I plan on adding, in a racial context, topics regarding the history of occupational segregation, effects of Title IX, and possible solutions to this problem. A separate section should also discuss the intersection between race and gender in the workplace segregation. My sources are on my user page. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions! -Angelalin79 (talk) 19:52, 10 September 2020 (UTC)
Update on Draft
Hi all. I am currently working on the draft for the racial components of this page and I believe I'm going to be changing the structure of this article pretty significantly. Please head over to my sandbox to see the draft that I am currently working on, and please feel free to contact me if you have any comments. Thank you! -Angelalin79 (talk) 04:43, 9 October 2020 (UTC)
Peer Review Summary
This article is great. The article is structured really well and contains a lot of fine detail without overcomplicating the topic – something that is difficult to achieve. As I mentioned above, more links of keywords would make the article even better. Also, the ‘Measurement’ section doesn’t seem to have that nice structure that every other section has so maybe tweaking that would be nice. Otherwise, I really liked the revised article and the revisions you made are definitely beneficial to the quality. Yowashi23 (talk) 03:11, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
Peer Review
This article gives a really comprehensive view of occupational segregation, and also gives in depth analysis on the race and gender aspects of this issue. The solutions section gave some really interesting things to consider and included multiple viewpoints and sources to inform the reader. To improve the article a bit, I would suggest adding a little information to the lead section to briefly outline the racial aspect of occupational segregation in the same way as the gender aspect is described. I think this would give the reader a better idea of what is included in the article. The other main thing I would suggest is looking for information from an additional source for the sexual orientation section, just to provide a variety of perspectives. Overall, I think this article looks great and has been improved a lot! Akandru (talk) 03:17, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
