[edit]I'm concerned with the sentence
- Contemporary (November, 2006) consensus (see Review by Professor James Franklin from Jim Reviews) amongst the mathematical community seems to be cautiously favorable.
It's hardly consensus amongst the mathematical community if the one review is comnig from one colleague in his department! Pascal.Tesson 21:18, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
I believe this article is neutral
[edit]Yes but there are several reviews included within the article that point toward the same direction. Also note that I wrote "seems to be CAUTIOUSLY favorable" I think you are nitpicking here... Emperor 21:32, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
I have now removed the "npov" tag, because this article is as neutral as can be. As for you, Pascal Tesson, I'd appreciate it if you removed yourself from the vandalism of my page. Regards. --Emperor 20:52, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
A change wouldn't hurt
[edit]I've removed the talk of "consensus", as there hasn't been a lot of published discussion. I hope the change solves the problem. - James Franklin
- But to be perfectly honest it should say "he has received support from one of his colleagues of UNSW." I don't think it's nitpicking to question the neutrality of the observer in this case. Pascal.Tesson 01:14, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
Resurrect this article
[edit]This article was nominated for deletion eight years ago: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Norman_J._Wildberger While it was probably right to merge the article at that point in time, since then Wildberger has attracted quite a following due to his Youtube channel. Of course it is hard to define when a person has crossed the threshold into "famous enough" status, but I believe the Professor, mostly due to his own self-promotion, has done just that.
