Cover version
[edit]I've noticed a number of articles across the web which point to this Wiki page as source of verification that the cover version is not Jane's Addiction. Perhaps whoever posted the statement that it is, in fact, Blind Melon/Dave Matthews Band, perhaps the source of this information could be cited?Kirkesque (talk) 02:13, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
Hoon "stripped" and DeLoach's parents "took her away"? What?
[edit]According to the article, "Shannon disliked DeLoach immensely. According to Hoon, after he stripped completely, DeLoach's parents immediately took her away." Is this vandalism? Surely a pop-star exposing himself to a pre-teen on a set would have been reported before now, and Hoon would have gotten in trouble?--190.37.166.128 17:44, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
- I've been trying to find a reference to this on Google. So far, the only reference to Hoon doing such a thing is THIS article. Removed. Even if true, the author should cite a reference. 72.91.42.26 10:51, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
- It's mentioned on their VH1 Behind The Music that Hoon stripped off in the field and has a video clip of him doing so but nothing about DeLoach's parents re-acting unfavourably.
- I notice that someone has added that Hoon was reportedly under the influence of LSD during this video. Given his loopiness during the video, I have no trouble believing that. Did the Behind The Music mention anything about Hoon's supposed dislike of DeLoach and that the stripping was done supposedly to offend her? PatrickLMT 09:29, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

I added the LSD comment, that's also courtesy of Behind The Music, there's no mention of any dislike of DeLoach or Hoon stripping to offend her.
Who's got a screencap?
[edit]Article could really use one, if only to differentiate between the album's cover girl and the actress in the video. More background on the song (vs. the video) would be great too. -Hedgey42 03:45, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:BlindMelon NoRain single.gif
[edit]Image:BlindMelon NoRain single.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Grunge
[edit]This song is not remotely grunge and does not fit its characteristics at all. From the grunge article, "Often characterized by a sludgy guitar sound that uses a high level of distortion, fuzz and feedback effects, grunge fuses elements of hardcore punk and heavy metal". "No Rain" is nowhere near heavy and does not fit these characteristics - in fact, it's quite on the contrary. It has a very light sound and not remotely characteristic of grunge. I think grunge should be removed from the genre parameter in the info-box as well. The sources given to cite the genre are not reliable. As for the other genres, we will need to find reliable sources to cite them. --Mistymountain546 (talk) 13:01, 7 April 2016 (UTC)
