Instrument
[edit]What's the low-pitched instrument on this song? You'll know the one I mean if you've heard it. I suppose it's likely to be digital, but what's being sythesised? Is it a bassoon or some other kind of woodwind instrument? For some reason I thought it might be a fixed-reed instrument, but I don't know enough to be able to tell. 79.68.236.197 (talk) 09:05, 17 December 2007 (UTC) Lyircs —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.106.133.30 (talk) 21:16, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

It’s a Roland, not Yamaha Jupiter-8
[edit]When this song was popular, Alicia Keys wanted to play a Roland Jupiter-8 on stage at the MTV music awards. One minor problem? Her endorsement contract with Yamaha didn’t allow her to visibly play non-Yamaha gear in public. So, she hid the “Roland” name from the back of her JP-8, and put the letters “Yamaha” on top of the synth (I wonder why Yamaha didn’t give her a CS-80, but maybe she didn’t want to lug around 220 pounds of keyboard all the time, or maybe Yamaha didn’t have a CS-80 to spare her). But it’s still a Roland. Here’s a blog entry talking about this: http://www.spacefold.com/colin/posts/2007/09-10TheYamahaJupiter-8.html
