[edit]There doesn't seem to be sources that the Thai term ngueak (เงือก) is derived from naga; nak (นาค) is, however; it seems that the author may be referring to the latter. Ngueak nowadays translates as mermaid, although the term has also been historically used to refer to snakes or naga. --Paul_012 (talk) 14:38, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
