Name Change?

[edit]

Suggest moving this page to United States National Christmas Tree - other nations may also have National Christmas Trees - MPF 23:50, 7 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I oppose the name change on two points:
  1. It is premature -- let's wait until someone else comes forward with an encyclopediatic article for another "National Christmas Tree" before looking to disambig.
  2. "United States National Christmas Tree" is not a common name, nor a term I have ever heard before. If a country-specific disambig is needed, I would prefer: "National Christmas Tree (United States)" or "National Christmas Tree (Washington, D.C.)

I've no problem with National Christmas Tree (United States), that seems sensible. But retaining it at National Christmas Tree makes it look very much like a statement that there is (or should be) only one nation in the world - MPF 01:20, 8 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Australia has one: [1] MPF 16:34, 11 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
