Is she currently is prison?
[edit]Excuse my ignorance, I was trying to figure out whether she is currently serving a prison sentence but it's not clear from the article. 79.122.85.20 (talk) 09:55, 6 October 2023 (UTC)
- She is, at least according to the Nobel Prize statement: https://www.nobelprize.org/prizes/peace/2023/press-release/ --ReyHahn (talk) 09:57, 6 October 2023 (UTC)
- This BBC news article here also confirms that she is in prison now. - - 19:04, 7 October 2023 (UTC)
grammar

Kurdish
[edit]Any source claims that she identifies herself as Kurdish? ReyHahn (talk) 11:20, 6 October 2023 (UTC)
- I got this from Reuters:
- "Born in the city of Zanjan in northern Iran in 1972 into a family from Iran’s Azeri ethnic minority, Mohammadi began her activism while a student studying physics at a university in nearby Qazvin."
- Which would make her an Iranian Azerbaijani. Not sure why people claim she's Kurdish. So, nationality Iranian, ethnicity Azerbaijani is correct. Kurdish isn't a nationality, it's an ethnic group.

Confusion in numbers
[edit]In the third and last paragraph of this Section and her profile (in the Template) the year of her marriage is given differently. Besides, there appears to be some confusion in the prison times of both Mohammadi and her husband. S.guntur (talk) 18:39, 6 October 2023 (UTC)
- The marriage year has been fixed. What confusion in the prison times are you talking about? Aaron Liu (talk) 19:16, 6 October 2023 (UTC)
Copyright problem
[edit]As this article is being so widely viewed. an administrator should urgently resolve the copyright issue.--Ipigott (talk) 20:25, 6 October 2023 (UTC)
- As these copyright issues are highly contentious and this is a very vital article per recent Nobel prize/WP:BLP in prison, I suggest to remove the whole content in the section that is in trouble as soon as possible so we can work in a new version.--ReyHahn (talk) 20:28, 6 October 2023 (UTC)
- Maybe Rosiestep or Victuallers could sort this out.--Ipigott (talk) 20:38, 6 October 2023 (UTC)
- Discussion is also ongoing at WP:ITN/C#Nobel Peace Prize. Aaron Liu (talk) 21:24, 6 October 2023 (UTC)
- That discussion led to the copyright tag.--ReyHahn (talk) 23:27, 6 October 2023 (UTC)
- Yes. Aaron Liu (talk) 13:07, 7 October 2023 (UTC)
- The copyright violation tag is rather long, as I read the article on a mobile phone. Most flags are terse. Any chance to say less about the details and send people here to the talk page, while the issue is resolved? - - 18:57, 7 October 2023 (UTC) Prairieplant (talk) 18:57, 7 October 2023 (UTC)
- I've synced the template with its sandbox version. Aaron Liu (talk) 19:52, 7 October 2023 (UTC)

Text removed due to copyright violation
[edit]Hello folks, I've removed a paragraph copied from "2020 Annual Report on the Death Penalty in Iran" (PDF). Iran Human Rights. 30 March 2021. Retrieved 10 April 2021. If you'd like to view the content, and perhaps paraphrase it for the Wikipedia article, the text began "On 27 February 2021, she released a video [...]" Ed [talk] [OMT] 06:08, 8 October 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks The ed17 for finally sorting this out. Glad to see the article is now "In the news".--Ipigott (talk) 14:06, 9 October 2023 (UTC)
