Rewriting article
[edit]As is, almost everything in this article is wrong or irrelevant. Of the four sources listed, only one of them even mentions him. It never describes him as a metallurgist, astronomer, mathematician, or geometer, and specifically says he was probably *not* born in Thatta. The year listed for the date of construction of his globe is off by 100 years. Source says he wrote in Arabic and Sanskrit, not Arabic and Persian, and never says the cire perdue method was secret. Indeed, it was used many many workshops across India over hundreds of years, so its hard to imagine it could have been kept secret. Thattvi only made 2 globes, so he was certainly far from being the most prolific globe maker.
The rest of the article is about other people and historical trends already covered elsewhere on wikipedia.
