Trailer
[edit]There's a trailer for this movie posted on YouTube: it looks legitimate
Is this available anywhere else online from a valid source? I get the feeling the YouTube version won't last long. 69.225.34.90 06:08, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
Nope, and it didn't. --AveryJ 03:19, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Mr. Magorium.jpg
[edit]Image:Mr. Magorium.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

See also?
[edit]Why is there a "See also" section linking to The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus? I can think of no connection between the two aside from a slightly similar name. Am I missing something? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.231.58.139 (talk) 15:31, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
- Agreed. Removed. 69.95.240.39 (talk) 03:27, 7 July 2008 (UTC)

Trivia
[edit]The main text says the script was the fist contract work of Zach Helm. On other hand, some press excerts say that:
"The most curious part is that this tongue-twister of a movie comes from Zach Helm, who previously wrote the clever, charming "Stranger Than Fiction" starring Will Ferrell (and costarring Hoffman, much more effectively). Here, Helm directs for the first time from a script he wrote when he was 23, inspired by his own experiences working at a toy store."
That should be 1998, as Zach Helm was born in 1975.
In Spain, the film has the additional stamp "Inspired by Imaginarium", a chain of shops founded by Felix Tena in Zaragoza, Spain, in 1992, and stablished worldwide. I have no idea about when the first USA branches appear. Arivero (talk) 16:41, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
- A "crudely ripped off from Roald Dahl" stamp would be welcome, too.71.131.204.20 (talk) 19:08, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
Note. I reverted a newly edited trivia section from the article today. Yes I realize that WP:TRIV does not recommend blanket deletion of such sections but in general such material might be better incorporated into a section about the movie props if it is sufficiently notable. If such a section is done, I'd think that information about the sock monkey and balls would be more notable. Regards to all. I have no heartburn about reinstating the section if its the consensus of those interested. Trilobitealive (talk) 02:10, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
Critical reception
[edit]See my edits today on this section. This movie had a significant number of positive reviews. The except which was added appeared to be typical of these. Apparently there are reviewers who recognize a children's film for what it is.Trilobitealive (talk) 05:40, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
Reference to Shakespeare
[edit]I think this article should have a trivia section that inlcudes the reference to Shakespeare made in the movie. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.251.189.192 (talk) 17:00, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
Quotes, references, and allusions have been made to the works of Shakespeare for centuries. It would be illogical to document all the references to Shakespeare on Wikipedia. Also doesn't Wikipedia discourage trivia sections? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.183.5.179 (talk) 00:31, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
I agree that the page could use a trivia references. The movie is FULL of references to items that could use that. I added some but, I guess the TROLL who sits on this wouldn't allow it. Troll: better not go to the restroom, someone might make a change (ahhh . . . ) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.178.240.205 (talk) 03:11, 25 February 2020 (UTC)
"Eric" introduced in plot summary
[edit]I fixed the mistake in which Mahoney is described as Eric's only human friend before Eric is otherwise mentioned. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Larry Siegel (talk • contribs) 06:21, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

[edit]did u notice keira knightley and nataline portman look very alike at first i thought they were the same person —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.16.95.40 (talk) 14:05, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
List of Chapters
[edit]Pretty sure this section needs to be removed or merged with another section (Plot?). Also, it should be introduced with something like "The film is divided up into chapters noted by animated title cards." - Ak112358 (talk) 15:57, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
This article must be revised
[edit]Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium is an american film produced only by Walden Media, FilmColony, Mandate Pictures and Gang of two (co-production) See this article from Variety for instance. This article must be revised. Some IP and user Gn1999 have introduced false data in all contries Wikipedia articles. --Malvoört (talk) 15:46, 6 May 2022 (UTC)
