Disambig page?
[edit]I'm struggling to understand why this is a disambig page rather than just a meta-article on the topic. bd2412 T 17:40, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
- I can see it as a disambiguation page, but a very trimmed down one. Relevant links seem to be Mongol Invasions of Japan and Mongol invasion of Russia. Everything else just links to irrelevant articles. -- Natalya 20:20, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
Article about the Mongol Invasion of Persia is needed
[edit]Someone should write about the Mongol Invasion of Persia exclusively. Only about Persia. Thanks. Sonic99 (talk) 02:01, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

result section
[edit]"Mongol victory and the fall of Mongol Empire" this is not really a good describe of Mongol conquests.
Lead follows body
[edit]Some of the material in the lede is a verbatim copy of what appears in the body. It is better to summarize in the lede rather than copy see here For example:
- From the lede:Historians regard the Mongol raids and invasions as some of the deadliest conflicts in human history. Brian Landers has offered that, "One empire in particular exceeded any that had gone before, and crossed from Asia into Europe in an orgy of violence and destruction. The Mongols brought terror to Europe on a scale not seen again until the twentieth century."[1] Diana Lary contends that the Mongol invasions induced population displacement "on a scale never seen before," particularly in Central Asia and eastern Europe. She adds, "the impending arrival of the Mongol hordes spread terror and panic."[2]
- From the body-Europe:Historians regard the Mongol raids and invasions as some of the deadliest conflicts in human history up through that period. Infobox
[edit]I corrected the formatting of the military conflict infobox so that it would display properly on the main article. --RobertLunaIII (talk) 19:40, 28 April 2017 (UTC)

Excessive detail in the infobox result parameter
[edit]Per MOS:MILRESULT, the result parameter should either be “X victory”, “inconclusive”, or omitted altogether. The current mess is highly unsuitable. ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 20:39, 25 November 2024 (UTC)
- Agreed, it should not be restored. Mellk (talk) 23:31, 26 November 2024 (UTC)
- Shadow. 547, please engage here instead of reverting. ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 19:23, 30 November 2024 (UTC)
- yeah well what about timurid conquests and invasions that has a result timurid victory 🤦♂️ so why cant i add for mongol invasions and conquests? Shadow. 547 (talk) 21:31, 30 November 2024 (UTC)
- Because something being wrong on one page doesn't mean it needs to be wrong everywhere too. I have deleted the excessive information there too, again per MOS:MILRESULT. ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 22:06, 30 November 2024 (UTC)
- Also see MOS:INFOBOXPURPOSE. Mellk (talk) 22:57, 30 November 2024 (UTC)
- dude what?? i don’t understand like why did u do it wth its been there for a month and u just removed it Shadow. 547 (talk) 00:04, 1 December 2024 (UTC)
- You added this on 17 November. The MOS is clear. It says that result
should be restricted to "X victory" or "Inconclusive". Where the result does not accurately fit with these restrictions use "See aftermath" (or similar) to direct the reader to a section where the result is discussed. In particular, terms like "Pyrrhic victory" or "decisive victory" are inappropriate for outcomes.
