[edit]I don't understand, why this man is in jail?. He's a hero and they reward him with 15 years in prison? What's going on here? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 110.134.244.230 (talk) 12:18, 5 November 2010 (UTC)
Parole
[edit]Today he was granted parole and will return to Oklahoma — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.239.128.233 (talk) 21:50, 12 February 2014 (UTC)
Pardon
[edit]Trump pardoned Behenna today; a prior editor added that fact and I provided a reference. Someone better versed than me on the legalities needs to determine if it still correct to call him a murderer.Cross Reference (talk) 05:15, 7 May 2019 (UTC)

Atkinson testimony
[edit]Does anyone have access to the direct testimony of Atkinson? I've been reading conflicting things about what he reported...
- The three then walked with a military translator toward a tunnel under railroad tracks, Atkinson said, adding they disappeared from view so he didn't know what happened next.
James Laporta of Newsweek in 2019:
- Warner took out a thermite grenade from his pocket, pulled the pin, and placed it underneath Mansur’s head, according to the interpreter and another platoon member, Corporal Cody Atkinson.
This is a direct contradiction between whether or not Atkinson verified translator Harry's account about the grenade-threatening. NBC is saying he did not (only that Warner took the grenade, not if he used it) while Newsweek is saying he did, despite saying he didn't witness what happened and didn't know what happened.
